Office Policies
Insurance Coverage
Robbie is considered an out-of-network provider for health insurance policies, but most non-HMO policies will reimburse you for a portion of the out-of-pocket expenses for mental health services.
Before your first visit, contact your health insurance company to find out how your policy works. They can tell you if you need preauthorization, and what percentage of any mental health service fees they will reimburse.
Payment Policies
Payment is due at each session. Robbie will give you an invoice to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
Session Length
The initial session is usually between 60 and 75 minutes long; subsequent sessions are 45 minutes.
Cancelling a Therapy Session
If you need to cancel a therapy session, please call more than 24 hours in advance to avoid being charged the full fee for the session.
Sliding Scale Fees
Robbie offers a limited number of therapy sessions each week at a reduced rate, for clients who are unable to use health care coverage for mental health services. Contact Robbie to find out if any sessions are currently available at a sliding scale rate.
Confidentiality Policy
Confidentiality is our ethical responsibility: None of the details of your treatment can be shared without your consent, except in an emergency.
